Blues at Green Note is an all acoustic affair, capturing the mood of a rural house frolic rather than the electric inner-city.
A small group of musicians will host the evening and welcome jammers on stage to sing and play some old favourites and join in on some new material too. Think pre-war, back to the golden age of country blues: Tommy Johnson, Sleepy John Estes, Mississippi Sheiks, Big Bill Broonzy and that glorious Bluebird sound...
We will be using just instruments and a couple of microphones to keep it intimate, so come down and help us create London's best acoustic Blues night at one of London's best acoustic venues.
Mandolins, violins, harmonicas, acoustic guitars, banjos etc are all welcome... (get there by 8.30pm to be sure of getting on) ... and if you don't play, just sit back and enjoy the music!
