Global adventures in rhythm
Saturday 29 September 2018
3pm to 5pm
presented by Elephant Drums
Welcome to an exciting interactive drum workshop.
- Free drink included with ticket.
- Meet a great bunch of new people.
- Explore rhythms from around the world.
Join a friendly and welcoming group of fellow adventurers as we go on a journey through the world of rhythms.
The guided session is led by Canadian drummer and percussionist Adam Teixeira. The workshop involves plenty of hands-on playing the percussion instruments and the opportunity to try different drums throughout. Beginners new to the world of hand drums will find the material accessible and fun to learn. Attendees do not need to have been to a previous workshop in the series. Each session is a standalone workshop with fresh material.
If you have your own hand drum you would like to bring then please bring it along – the more the merrier! If you don’t have a drum, then no problem, you can use any of ours. These workshop sessions are aimed at adult learners, but under-18s are also very welcome if accompanied by an adult. Please email us
for info and tickets for under-18s.
Join us at 3pm for refreshments and introductions. The session will end at 5pm.
Your ticket includes your welcome drink. Choose your drink on arrival from the selection on offer at the Green Note.
