TAMCO have now morphed into a just released Tammy Payne solo album ‘Viva Outsider’ made with the combined talents of drummer Dylan Howe (The Blockheads ),bassist Jim Barr (Get The Blessing/ Portishead ), keyboard player Dan Moore (Pee Wee Ellis, Rodriguez, Marc Ford ) and guitarist Neil Smith (The Liftmen). Adam Beattie and the Consultants have a long standing association with New Roots. Beattie ploughs a similar furrow to Tom Waits and Nick Cave’s downtempo work, noir folk blues with a dark edge and a big heart that never fails to move an audience. You’ll hear traces of old-time jazz, swing and parlour songs in his sound, now abstracted to a sharper, darker and more modern jazz influenced setting by his band of piano, upright bass and drums.
