After five long years apart THE COAL PORTERS, inventors of ‘alt-bluegrass’, are climbing back in the saddle to perform concerts in April 2022. Led by ex-Long Ryder Sid Griffin and co-helmed by Neil Bob Herd, the Coal Porters are going out as a six piece with longtime stalwarts Andrew Stafford on doghouse bass and Paul Fitzgerald on banjo. The big news is both original CPs’ fiddler Gemma White and Royal Academy of Music graduate Kerenza Peacock are going to play violin at these concerts.

After six well-received albums over their original run of seventeen years, numerous tours of Europe and North America, countless business meetings, and frequent boozy lunches the act who put the ‘blue’ in bluegrass is back. Mark your calendars as April 2022 sees the Coal Porters onstage once again. Saddle up for the ride of your life!
