SLOW LEAVES: Slow Leaves is the self-contained solo project of Grant Davidson. He has been nominated for several Western Canadian Music Awards and won Songwriter of the Year in 2022. Known for songs of heart-wrenching honesty, his folk and psych-rock stylings recall older songwriters like Mickey Newbury and Nick Drake as well as more modern artists like Angel Olsen and Andy Shauf. Davidson’s newest album, “In Solitude, For Company”, a collection of acoustic retellings of songs from his previous albums he describes as “my saddest songs made sadder”, comes out in April 2025 on Birthday Cake Records.
Support from MOCK DEER: Mock Deer is an Art-Rock/Psych-Folk artist originally from the north and now based in SE London.
Mock Deer has become an integral part of London’s indie scene, having toured extensively across Europe and sharing stages with acclaimed artists like Willy Mason and Joan Shelley. Known for his collaborative spirit and support of fellow artists. He has earned widespread praise and endorsements from renowned outlets like Rough Trade and fellow musicians such as British jazz composer Shabaka Hutchings. His most recent release ‘Pilgrims’ EP solidifies Mock Deer as one of art-rock/psych-folk’s most compelling and introspective songwriters.
