ANNALIE WILSON is a deep and soulful singer songwriter who tells it like it is. Or how it could be. Tenderness dances with yearning in a voice that comes straight from the heart. Her songs explore the perfect imperfection of being human, the wars we wage inside and out. Annalie’s live show is an immersive experience of storytelling, emotional reckoning and left field humour. Backed by guitar and piano with live loops, her sound has its roots in folk, with jazz and blues influences.
Annalie’s EP was released in 2020 and its title song “Power To Change” is a haunting call to arms on the theme of the climate crisis. During the lockdowns she produced a series of contemplative protest songs including “Breath,” whose powerful video featuring ex-National Ballet dancer Shevelle Dynott was screened at New York’s 2023 NoirFest. 2020-2023 brought challenging times and her recent releases, “Depths,” “Everyday Magic” and the new single “Think I’m Over It Now” are an honest and poignant narrative of recovery.
“Relatable and inspirational…embroils a listener to hang on to every long note and wish the song would go on for longer” – Get Into This
“Wilson has created something remarkable – a song that finds hope not in fighting on, but in finally laying down arms against ourselves.” – B Side Guys
