Belinda Gillett is an indie-folk artist from Suffolk. Her admirers include Queen’s Brian May and folk-punk icon Jeffrey Lewis, both of whom have recently shared her music videos.
Belinda’s voice regularly draws comparisons with Sandy Denny, Joan Baez and Weyes Blood. She creates atmospheric, ethereal, vintage landscapes with her honest songs of love, nature and life and cites Nick Drake, Radiohead, The Sundays and Frightened Rabbit among her influences.
Her latest album is entirely self-produced and will be released in late Spring.
“She sings darkly and straight from the heart…wonderful!” – Brian May, Queen
“When Belinda sings, the world stops turning…her voice is up there with the likes of Joni Mitchell, Sandy Denny and Emmylou Harris.” – Dave Hammond, Cambridge 105 Radio
