KARIM BAGGILLI: Several years have passed since the duology “Apollo You Sixteen” release, and Karim is eager to return to the stage to present a new album. “Ocho Manos – Tome 1”
He is joined on this album by his long-time friend Etienne Serck. It is a collaboration they wished for and had been in the works for a long time, a challenge that animated and fascinated them, resulting in a simple, strong, and radical repertoire.
This opus is entirely dedicated to the Oud with a privileged place for percussions and rhythms of very diverse influences, Peru, Eastern Europe, Middle East.
The compositions, fresh and modern at the same time, are performed by musicians with hyper-complementary temperaments.
On stage, they will be joined by Youri Nanai and Vivian Ladrière, Karim’s faithful and talented fellow musicians.
Musicians:
Karim Baggili: Oud
Etienne Serck: Percussions
Youri Nanai: Bass
Vivian Ladrière, drums, percussions
Doors open 7pm. Music starts 8.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited, and available on a first come first served basis, so if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
