Louise Dodds & Elchin Shirinov are a vocal / piano duo, comprised of Scottish jazz vocalist and songwriter Louise Dodds (Scottish Jazz Awards nominee 2022 and 2023) and Azerbaijani pianist, composer and arranger Elchin Shirinov (All About Jazz Top 200 living pianist/Avishai Cohen Trio). In 2023 the duo released the critically acclaimed album Two Hours After Midnight, a collection of traditional Scottish songs rearranged by Elchin with influences of jazz, classical and Azerbaijani folk. They are now touring a second project, performing songs written by Louise and Elchin, plus newly commissioned songs by PRS Foundation on the theme of ‘belonging’. Their original song, Nowhere to Hide, was released in January 2024.
Doors open 7.30pm, Music starts 8pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited, and available on a first come first served basis, so if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
