Modern jazz inspired by melodies and music-making of long ago: Renaissance chant and Baroque themes get a makeover from today’s musical standpoint.

Tenor Madness appearances include the Pumphouse as part of the Aldeburgh Festival, the Bedford Park Festival in West London, and at Stapleford Granary. Hot from a recent Britten-Pears Foundation Creative Retreat and St Catharine’s College Cambridge residency, two members of Tenor Madness present their centuries-crossing concept in the intimate setting of the Green Note’s basement venue, bringing a fresh take to old themes to life with cutting-edge contemporary improvisation.
