New Roots presents…. Alden Patterson & Dashwood + The Georgia Shackleton Trio

Taking inspiration from the twin pillars of American bluegrass and English folk, ALDEN, PATTERSON & DASHWOOD weave rich harmonies with fiddle, dobro and mandolin around a combination of finely crafted original compositions and traditional songs. The trio features members of much respected Norwich folk bands Murphy’s Lore, Woodland Creatures and Dumbfoundus.

Formed in 2015, THE GEORGIA SHACKLETON TRIO are an exciting new act touring The UK and Europe, playing a blend of Americana, contemporary bluegrass, folk and self-penned material instrumentally influenced by British, American and Scandinavian folk traditions. Recently the band have performed main stage slots at Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Towersey Folk Festival, and Folk East, as well as performing throughout Broadstairs Folk Week amongst others.
