Ama Bazar is a collective of highly diverse musicians based primarily in London. Their vibrant performances revolve around a love of folk dance and song, from many corners of the world – klezmer to flamenco, tango to manouche. They have a bright, positive & energetic edge, experimenting with layering up of different dance rhythms, lush harmonies and evocative melodies – taking the audience from fiery footstamping beats to ambient melancholic soundscapes. Led by clarinettist, singer and composer Alice Mary Williamson their warmly eclectic and embracing ethos is strongly reflected in the international and versatile mix of musicians who play with the group.

The trio tonight comprises Alice Mary Williamson (voice, clarinet), Anisa Arslanagic (viola & violin) and Jorge Bravo (guitar). Their musical backgrounds are a mixture of classical, jazz, tradition/folklore and flamenco, and their cultural heritage a mixture of British, Croatian, Bosnian and Chilean. They have each played in prestigious venues around the UK such as the Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Koko, Royal Festival Hall; Womad, Wilderness Glastonbury, and Secret Garden Party festivals; on TV, film and radio soundtracks and live shows including BBC and Channel 4; and in some of the most renowned venues, theatres and festivals throughout Europe.
