ANA SILVERA’s folk and bluegrass-tinged tunes are lyrical, intimate and emotive, works of ‘lavish, vivid imagination’ (Metro). Drawing on stories from her own eventful life as well as folklore and myth, Ana’s songs are vignettes, poignant snap-shots in time that weave poetry and melody to magical effect. This tour, she will be playing songs from her Winter EP, ‘Arcana’ and will be joined by local artists along the way.
In the past few years, Ana’s focus has been on large scale projects: composing and singing in a full-length original work Cassandra for Royal Ballet and recording her forthcoming BASCA-nominated choral song cycle Oracles at landmark London venue The Roundhouse. Now she returns to the stage to debut new solo material, and will be accompanying herself on piano, guitar and harmonium, alongside award-winning double bassist Jasper Høiby (Phronesis, Fellow Creatures).”
