TOBIAS BEN JACOB & LUKAS DRINKWATER: Blessed with a wonderfully emotive voice and a talent for songwriting that ranges from the intimate to the epic, Tobias Ben Jacob played in ‘The Roots Union’ alongside Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin (winners of Best Duo at the BBC Folk Awards.) Some career highlights to date have included a session for BBC’s ‘Late Junction’ on Radio 3, sharing the stage with Fleet Foxes J.Tillman, and appearances at Glastonbury, Green Man, Secret Garden Party, Larmer Tree and Electric Picnic.

Upright bass player Lukas Drinkwater is in heavy demand as a performer and session musician having performed and recorded with a catalogue of acclaimed artists. Rock’n’Reel magazine describe their sound together as ‘inventive and thrilling’, R2 magazine have recently included them on their covermount cd, and the duo have been featured on Tom Robinson’s 6Music show and Mark Radcliffe’s BBC Radio 2 folk show.

LUCY KITT: A consumate songwriter and superbly accomplished folk player and singer, Lucy Kitt’s creative soul looks west acoss the Atlantic- LA’s Laurel Canyon bears great influence on her warm and mellow sound. The folk edge that dominates the character of her music takes influence from the work of artists such as Joni Mitchell, Sandy Denny and Neil Young. Her perfectly crafted songwriting style shows a crystal clear vision with rock solid foundations strong enough to take such weighty reference points. A real gem.

JOSH GEFFIN: London-based singer and guitarist Josh Geffin, with accompaniment from  Andy Hamill (Eska, Natascha Atlas) on upright bass, Nathaniel Keen (Andreya Triana) on electric guitar, and Victoria Hume (Lost Map Records) on backing vocals, launches his new EP “Rocks of Bawn’.
The EP is a collection of traditional folk songs influenced by his work with The Song Collectors Collective, which was founded by Mercury-nominated folk musician Sam Lee. “I love the process of coming across a beautiful traditional melody sung unaccompanied, and creating a new harmony and accompaniment” says Geffin, whose characteristic fingerstyle guitar playing runs throughout the EP. The EP’s featured songs come from Ireland, England and the US.
His previous solo-releases have included the eponymous album Josh Geffin and the Wake EP and he has performed at the South Bank Centre, End Of The Road Festival and on BBC6 Music (The Mark Riley Show).
