MOONFISH, the collaborative project of Maria Chiara Argirò and Riccardo Chiaberta merges electronic beats and alternative rock with jazz improvisation. Their setup blends keyboards and synths with drums, bass synth, and electronics. Both musicians are prominent figures in London’s jazz and electronic music scenes, having worked with artists such as Rosie Turton, Liran Donin, Jamie Leeming, Dugong, Bruno Heinen, and These New Puritans.
For this occasion, Moonfish will host the exceptionally talented saxophonist Rich Muscat, expanding the duo’s interplay and sonic palette.
Drawing on influences such as Aaron Parks, Kneebody, Bonobo, and Thom Yorke, their music stands out for its balance between earthy grooves and dreamy, ethereal melodies. They will present music from their recent EP, Leaving, along with new songs, exploring intimate dialogues that may build to intense explosions.
