AMITY is an award-winning singer songwriter whose raw, “powerhouse” voice and vivid, moving lyrics have earned him the backing of the Royal Albert Hall who recently named him as their 2023 Future Maker. Described in The Guardian newspaper as bringing together “miraculous” vocals with the “dense surreal lyricism of Regina Spektor”, Amity’s hard-hitting songwriting and emotive performances have scooped numerous national and international successes, with the SAYS panel of industry judges listing Amity in the UK’s top 30 young songwriters in his category.
Recently awarded Best Singer 2023 by RB Entertainment, his dark, defiant and dramatic sound has put him in high demand, being talent scouted by numerous major TV shows on both sides of the Atlantic and dubbed “one to watch” by the international music magazine, ASBO.
Praised by Durham Magazine as “profound, broody and rebellious”, Amity’s empowering lyrics are imprinted by his drive for justice, inner healing, freedom and an overriding determination to lift up those who are struggling, along the way documenting his own ongoing journey from darkness to light. Though only 16 years old, Amity, who is autistic and queer, has already written professionally with Dee Adam (Dido, Kaiser Chiefs, Newton Faulkner) and is currently writing with Andrew Kingslow (John Legend).
