AUSTEL – aka Annie Rew Shaw – is a Devon-born London-based artist, songwriter and producer, crafting introspective, brooding music led by ethereal vocals and intimate lyricism.

Influenced by a wide range of artists spanning from Bon Iver to Thom Yorke, Cocteau Twins to Jon Hopkins, Nick Cave to Elliott Smith, Austel fuses her background in classical music and songwriting with ambient textures, cinematic soundscapes and contemplative electronica.

Having cut her teeth as a session musician performing at Glastonbury Festival, supporting Fleet Foxes, and touring the UK with multiple bands, Austel began collaborating with guitarist, producer and music technologist Adam Stark (MiMU Gloves, Rumour Cubes) – developing her own songs with a fresh lens.

Austel’s 2018 self-released debut EP ‘Unfold’ received plaudits from the likes of BBC 6 Music, Killing Moon and The Line of Best Fit, while 2020’s ‘Cold Love’ drew further support from O2 Music, BBC Introducing and Fresh On The Net. In 2022, she released ‘Feathers’ – a ghostly, piano-based reworking of her discography to date, followed by dream-pop single ‘Cut Me Down’, a collaboration with artist/producer Ruby Smith aka post-dusk.

Joanna Schubert, the Brooklyn-based, singer/keyboardist/composer/arranger behind OROPENDOLA, creates kaleidoscopic chamber pop filled to the brim with energy and emotion.

Her debut full-length album, Waiting for the Sky to Speak – recorded with Zubin Hensler – will be released on March 17, 2023 with Spirit House Records and Wilbur & Moore Records. Her music has been called “expansive and colorful” (Under the Radar Mag), “lovely, ethereal dream pop” (Brooklyn Vegan), and “at the meeting point between arms in the air pop perfection and something altogether more jarring and intriguing” (For the Rabbits). Joanna has also been a touring member of both Half Waif and Barrie, and sung with Grammy-nominated Gnawa musician Samir Langus.

Brooklyn-by-Belgium vocalist CHARLOTTE JACOBS transposes her world into music. Sights, movements, sounds and places coalesce, reflecting the artist’s surroundings in lush electronic unison. Born and raised in her parents’ art gallery in a small village in the Flanders countryside, Jacobs’ dense avant-pop arrangements pull influence from visual art, poetry and contemporary dance, converting one artistic medium into another. Her latest EP “The Shape of Wandering” was called “a sonic adventure” (NPR Music), “A musical headfake” (WNYC) and “a book of shadows” (Atwood Magazine).
