DAVID BROWNE MURRAY: Fingerstyle guitarist and composer David Browne Murray has been actively involved in the music scene in Belfast since his return from Berklee College of Music in 2010.

He has since received the praise of Lee Ritenour, toured Ireland with jazz legends Frank Vignola and Vinnie Raniolo, Andy McKee, Gareth Pearson, Jan Akkerman and had the privilege of opening for Tommy Emmanuel in a sold-out Ulster Hall.

Alongside his solo career David is a sought after studio engineer and producer. He has a remarkable flair for composition, musical arrangements and has a deep knowledge of the recording process.

Musical interests and inspirations couldn’t be more varied from film scores to electronica, choral and orchestral music in particular – all of which have enabled him to develop a wonderfully original take on the world’s most popular instrument.

In 2023 David released his 2nd studio album, ‘Square One’ which was followed by a sell-out show in Belfast’s Crescent Arts Centre. The album is a collection of 10 original compositions, some of which have become live favorites that never fail to enthrall his audiences.

In January 2024 Tommy Emmanuel and David were filmed playing a duet of Tommy’s tune ‘Halfway Home’ in 1st Port of Call Studio, Belfast. The resulting video on YouTube and Instagram is spreading far and wide!

On 25th September 2024 DBM will play his first London show at Green Note; he looks forward to finally meeting up with his London fan base and hopefully he will garner some new followers as well!

Doors open 7pm. Music starts 8.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited, and available on a first come first served basis, so if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
