Headed by innovative flautist, Jacquelyn Hynes’ Avalonia provide a fusion of music from the Celtic, Arabic, Eastern European, North African and English traditions, bringing a depth of expression that combines beautiful and mesmeric sound with a solid contemporary feel. They perform both traditional songs as well as Jacquelyn’s fascinating and breathtaking original compositions.
She is joined by Steph West’s rippling, dancing harp, Chris O’Malley (of The London Lasses) on accordion and guitar, coupled with the Moroccan dynamism of Tunisian percussionist Zinga Rabhi.
