On tour from Chile the renowned bass player JORGE CAMPOS will be performing with the jazz percussionist and kit player Rastko Rašić (Paprika) and friends from Anglo-Chilean band Quimantu in a programme featuring the repertoire of jazz fusion and Latin American styles which have underpinned his career. We are particularly excited that he will be travelling with his double-neck Machi Bass, a unique instrument specially made for him by Warwick for whom he is an international endorser.
His influences are wide-ranging encompassing Stravinsky, Sibelius, Violeta Parra, Victor Jara, Jaco Pastorius, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Weather Report and Miles Davis, and as a member of as a member of the legendary groups Santiago del Nuevo Extremo since 1979, Grupo Fulano 1985-2015 and Grupo Congreso 1986-2006 he has had a key role in many important and iconic music projects.
