TALENTBANQ presents KATE HENEGHAN plus SUPPORT

KATE HENEGHAN is an electric violinist and fiddle player, harpist and pianist from Co. Mayo on the West Coast of Ireland.

Kate’s musical collaborations have ranged from classical ensembles to folk groups and contemporary cover bands. Her musical prowess has taken her across the globe, performing in Europe, USA, China and Australia. The National Centre for Performing Arts (Beijing), The Tempodrom (Berlin) and Sydney Opera House count amongst some of the venues where Kate has enraptured audiences.

Kate is the recipient of the Music Generation / U2 bursary ‘Exceptional Musician Award’ and used the money awarded to buy her harp. In 2018, she received a scholarship from the University of Limerick to represent the Irish World Academy in the USA. She has also been presented with the Mícheál Ó hÉidhin Medal for exceptional musicians. Kate is an All-Ireland Champion fiddle player at Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann and Siansa Gael Linn.

This will be a very special evening at Green Note!

With support from JULIA-MARIA.

From Cork now making great music in London.

Julia-Maria’s music is characterised by her hypnotic folk infused vocals, rich instrumental arrangements and poignant lyricism. It is impossible not to recognise Julia-Maria’s Irish folk background in her song-writing.

Her musical influences are Joni Mitchell, Feist, Billie Marten, Lizzie McAlpine and Maggie Rodgers.

Close vocals, organic tones and intimate arrangements draw you into her stories and invite you to sit and stay awhile.

Doors open 7pm. Music starts 8.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited and available on a first come first served basis so, if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
