NINA ROSS: Nina is a jazz singer with “A voice like a bird. A bird in the dark lit by the moon.” She offers up atmospheric moods and artful emotional exploration. Through songs heavy with nature metaphor Nina threads between the shifting lines of light and dark, hope and melancholy. Share in an evening of connection and intimacy and a love of what it is to be human. With storytelling at the forefront Nina sings with a purity of sound and a touch of folk. Her music comes with a sense of freedom, longing, and release. With a growing reputation whilst being based on the Isle of Wight, it’s clear that Nina draws on the nature of her island world in the poetic lyrics she writes to jazz instrumentals. Expect a less than traditional approach to jazz and a jazz approach to contemporary songs.
Doors open 7.30pm, Music starts 8pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited, and available on a first come first served basis, so if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
