New Roots presents… Paul Mosley and Guests

Composer and Singer Songwriter PAUL MOSLEY returns to the Green Note basement for a rare live performance themed around BIRD SONG.

‘Beautiful, intimate and effecting. Great modern folk writing!’**** R2 Magazine
Unveiling new versions of BIRD themed songs from all across his 17 year output (and it turns out there’s a LOT of them) Paul will be joined by special guests Bird Radio (flute) Anna Unwin (Cello) and singers Jack Harris, Esther Dee and Catherine Earnshaw.
‘A honeyed voice and a garage orchestra of sometimes disturbing magic realist folk pop, Excellent’ ★★★★ Q Magazine
Paul’s work as an in demand composer for Puppet Theatre (his latest commission for Julia ’The Gruffallo’ McDonald’s ‘Owl & The Pussycat’ coming to Little Angel Theatre December 2019) has taken him away from live performance in recent years so this is a great opportunity to hear up close and personal versions of his intricate, sometimes-odd, sometimes-catchy story songs in this much loved, intimate setting.
‘Wonderful. Mercury prize Level good ★★★★ BBC6music fresh on the net
