“Utterly spellbinding” – The Scotsman * * * * *
“Spectacularly beautiful, vivid songwriting” – Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio 2
ROWAN RHEINGANS is an award-winning fiddle player, banjoist, songwriter and theatre-maker widely regarded as one of the foremost innovators in the English folk scene. Best known for her work with acclaimed bands Lady Maisery and The Rheingans Sisters, Rowan will perform a clutch of solo gigs this January, embracing the hibernating season with an intimate show of reimagined songs, emerging sonic adventures and musical connection in the warmth of small venues. A rare treat! Rowan has won two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, is a six-times nominee, and her courageous one woman theatre show Dispatches on the Red Dress won a Fringe First award after a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe. In 2021, Rowan was awarded the Paul Hamlyn Award for composers.

Doors open 7pm. Music starts 8.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited and available on a first come first served basis so, if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
